Letters From Madeleine

Hello my sweet friends,

I have a creative proposition to share with you!

It’s an experiment in ideas that I’m calling “Letters from Madeleine.” You sign up from now until May 2021 to receive physical mail from me; a monthly collection of a copy of prose, music and art that you can hold in your hands, pass around your household, read without wifi, or pin on a bulletin board. Each month I will send you something unique and handcrafted, made with love using guitars, paper, pens, glue, scissors, my tiny recording studio, and a healthy curiosity. No Zoom, no social media, no scrolling - just you and I and the postal service.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

1. You decide you want a little Madeleine package in your real, physical mailbox once a month for the next six months (December through May). 

2. You subscribe below, choosing the fee option that best suits your means. Your total cost for the six months ranges from $12 to $300, depending on the option you choose. 

3. Each month I will send you your copy of a new creation – a letter plus a poem, a drawing, other creative musings … it’s a surprise!

4. Each month you will also receive a link to a subscribers-only website page, where you get special access to that month’s new song, video, demo, or other goodies. 

5. You can absolutely write a letter back!

Think of it as a CSA!

Like a conventional CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture), where subscribers receive regular baskets of garden goodness, you will be a part of my own CSA – Community Supported Art – where you will receive ongoing creations that I hope will help feed your soul!

Fee Options

• You can choose to pay from $2 to $50 per month, whatever works for your budget - my hope is that those who are able to spare a bit more can help to offset the cost for those who need to be more careful with their spending. (If you live outside of Canada, please consider contributing $10 CAD or more per month to help pay for mailing costs.)

• Payments are through PayPal (you do not need an account) and are automatically withdrawn every month on the day of the month that you signed up. You can cancel anytime; the button is below.

• If you sign up before December 1: You will receive your first package in early December.

• If you sign up after December 1: You will receive your first package in early January.

• Depending on when you subscribe, you will receive 5 or 4 or 3 (etc.) letters instead of 6, depending on what month you join in the fun. After May 2021, we will see how things are going and either continue on for those who wish, or shut-’er-down and focus on other things.
